OCT - Summary
These are for five classes which cover other non-kinesiological
skills, required for all those using complementary therapies.
These include:
- First Aid and resuscitation.
- Cultural sensitivity.
- Safety practices and health regulations.
- Diagnosis and treatment verses kinesiology, evaluations and
assessments, balancing protocol and procedures, post-balance
and reassessment
of pre-tests and pre-test activities to provide evidence
of changes made. ‘Red Flag’ medical situations are
recognised with appropriate cautions, management and referral
for medical
care.
OCT201: Cultural Sensitivity
Develop skill and understanding in the recognition of personal
cultural identity and cultural differences: identify, describe
and discuss culturally sensitive issues. |
OCT202: First Aid and Resuscitation
Obtain St. Johns, Red Cross or similar certificat.
